Community Service is a sanction the Court can impose as a condition of probation. The Court imposes this sanction as a form of restoration/reparation, and as an opportunity for rehabilitation. The Ross County Probation Department has developed an in-house Community Service program that affords offenders the opportunity to give back to the local community. Participants perform a specific number of court-ordered hours as a condition of probation using productive labor to apply principles of accountability and restitution.
